The suspect, a male citizen of Uzbekistan born in 1995, was not identified by name, according to the Federal Security Service of Russia.
On Tuesday in Moscow, an explosive device was detonated outside a residential building, resulting in the death of Lt. Gen. Igor Kirillov and his assistant, Maj. I.V. Polikarpov.
On Tuesday, the Ukrainian special services claimed responsibility for the attack, which the suspect stated he was recruited to carry out.
"In accordance with their instructions, he arrived in Moscow, received a high-power homemade explosive device and placed it on an electric scooter, which he parked near the entrance to the house of I.A. Kirillov."
