Israeli officials accuse Hezbollah of using a non-profit cover to finance its activities.
In Lebanon, Al-Qard Al-Hasan is classified as a non-profit organization.
On Monday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) disclosed new information regarding Hezbollah's financial system, while the military continues to neutralize threats posed by Hamas and other terrorist organizations.
In a Monday briefing, Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari of the IDF disclosed new details regarding Hezbollah's funding mechanism for attacks.
"Hezbollah's financial network is being exposed, and it's revealed how the group uses it to fund its terrorist activities," Hagari stated. "The Lebanese state has been grappling with a severe financial crisis in recent years, which Hezbollah has exploited."
Hagari stated that Al-Qard Al-Hasan, Hezbollah's financial arm, offers financial services to Lebanese citizens and compensates Hezbollah's employees.
According to Reuters, Al-Qard Al-Hasan is a Lebanese charitable non-profit that provides loans, and Hagari claims that the Iranian-linked financial network violates international law.
""Hezbollah's financial network is primarily funded by the Iranian regime and the Lebanese people, with Iran's Quds Force transferring money to Hezbollah from Iranian oil sold in Syria," the military spokesman stated."
"Hezbollah receives suitcases of cash and gold from Iran via planes, which are delivered directly to the Iranian embassy in Beirut."
Hezbollah constructed factories in Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, and Turkey to generate funds for terrorist activities, as observed by Hagari.
The Lebanese economy is endangered by Hezbollah's financial arm, as the influx of Iranian money devalues the Lebanese pound, according to an Israeli official.
"Hagari emphasized that the conflict is not with the people of Lebanon, but rather with Hezbollah. The objective is to combat Hezbollah and ensure the safety and security of northern Israel's residents, allowing them to return to their homes."
Three weeks after the IDF started ground operations in Lebanon, the military carried out airstrikes on Al-Qard Al-Hasan buildings in Lebanon on Sunday.
