Officials from South Korea have cautioned that the North may increase its military demonstrations near the U.S. presidential elections in an attempt to attract the attention of Washington.
Last week, it was reported by South Korea's military intelligence agency that North Korea is likely to have finished preparing for its seventh nuclear test.
Lately, tensions between North and South Korea have escalated due to Kim's ongoing display of his expanding nuclear weapons and missile programs, while simultaneously providing Russia with weapons and troops to aid Putin's war in Ukraine.
The three countries, in response to North Korea's increasing nuclear threats, have been increasing their joint military exercises and updating their nuclear deterrence plans based on U.S. strategic assets.
