According to experts, Netanyahu's refusal to comply with Biden-Harris's threats regarding the Rafah invasion resulted in the elimination of Sinwar.
Hamas executed 6 hostages, including American-Israeli Hersh Goldberg-Polin, just a short distance from where Sinwar was eliminated.
According to military and Middle East experts, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's decision to ignore warnings from President Biden and Vice President Harris not to conquer the last major stronghold of Hamas terrorists in Rafah was correct.
On Wednesday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet intelligence agency declared that "soldiers from the Southern Command killed Yahya Sinwar, the leader of the Hamas terrorist organization, during an operation in the southern Gaza Strip."
Earlier this year, Biden and Harris warned Israel about going into Rafah, where Sinwar met his end, but later congratulated Israel over the death of the Hamas terror chief.
Nearly 1,200 people were massacred on Oct. 7, 2023, including over 40 American citizens, under the supervision of Sinwar.
In March, Harris refused to rule out "consequences" for Israel if it proceeded with an invasion of Rafah in Gaza.
""I have studied the maps and I can confirm that there's nowhere for those folks to go," Harris told ABC News at the time."
In March, Jake Sullivan, Biden's National Security Advisor, also expressed concern, mirroring Harris' warning.
"During a White House Press briefing, Sullivan stated that Hamas should not be permitted a safe haven in Rafah or any other location. However, a significant military operation in Gaza would be a grave error. It would result in more innocent civilian casualties, exacerbate the already severe humanitarian crisis, intensify the chaos in Gaza, and further isolate Israel internationally."
In May, Biden threatened Israel by stating that he would not provide the Jewish state with weapons if it entered Rafah. Biden told CNN that if Israel entered Rafah, he would not supply the weapons that have been used historically to deal with the city.
According to Amit Segal, chief political analyst of Israel's Channel 12, the elimination of Sinwar demonstrates that the continuation of the war was not arbitrary, the entry into Rafah was not motivated by revenge, and the refusal to surrender to Hamas to resolve the northern front was not hasty.
"To guarantee that the entire Middle East witnesses the consequences of attacking Israel, a strategy exists."
An IDF spokesman stated that Sinwar's primary objective was to erase Israel from existence. The operation's success is just one piece of a year-long effort in Gaza.
In August, six hostages were executed in the same tunnel where Sinwar was located.
One of the six hostages murdered was Israeli-American Hersh Goldberg-Polin.
"The IDF spokesman stated that Sinwar was located near the tunnel, and there were signs of senior Hamas leaders in the Rafah area."
The IDF spokesman stated that there are 14,000 Hamas booby-trapped buildings in the Rafah area.
If Prime Minister Netanyahu had heeded Biden and Harris' advice and avoided entering Rafah, we might never have reached Sinwar. The majority of Americans and Israelis supported our entry into Rafah and desire to see Hamas eradicated from history. Now it's time to put an end to Hamas and bring back the hostages, as Israeli Lt. Col (res) Yoni Chetboun, a former Knesset deputy speaker and decorated special forces operator, stated on Planet Chronicle Digital.
The misjudgment of Harris about the ground war in Gaza led to criticism and ridicule on social media from foreign policy experts. Caroline Glick, an American-Israeli Middle East expert, wrote on X that Sinwar was killed in Rafah, a mile from the Egyptian border. Kamala threatened Israel with sanctions if they went in, and she studied the maps.
Despite the efforts of the U.S. government and the European Union to persuade Israel to abandon its plans to eliminate Hamas and Hezbollah, Netanyahu remains unwavering in his pursuit of war.
In February, Josep Borrell, the European Union's foreign policy chief, stated that there was no military solution to defeat Hamas, despite suggesting that the United States reduce military aid to Israel.
According to Max Abrahms, a renowned expert on counterterrorism and a professor of political science at Northeastern University, Biden and Harris have been advising Netanyahu based on American political calculations. The White House is aware of the strong anti-Israel sentiment within the Democratic Party and has attempted to pressure Netanyahu to withdraw Israeli forces from Gaza before the Hamas threat is fully addressed, particularly in opposition to a Rafah operation.
"If Netanyahu had followed that advice, Sinwar would still be alive. It is crucial for Netanyahu to ignore this White House's advice as he considers military options against Iran."
During a State Department briefing on Thursday, a reporter asked Spokesman Matthew Miller if the Biden Administration's policy on Israel invading Rafah was preemptive in light of the recent news of Sinwar's death.
Miller stated that they had always made it clear that they supported Israel's counterterrorism operations against Hamas leaders and militants, and that they provided active intelligence support for those operations.
No response was received from President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris regarding their warnings to Netanyahu about Rafah.
