On Wednesday, a masked man with a knife, handcuffs, tape, and a prop gun was apprehended near the royal family's residence in Sweden, according to reports.
The Daily Mail reported that the incident took place at the official residence of Crown Princess Victoria, 47, and her husband Prince Daniel, along with their two children, Princess Estelle, 12, and Prince Oscar, 8, who reside at Haga Palace in Haga Park, Solna Municipality in Stockholm.
Before being reported to the police, the man was first spotted by castle guards at around 5 p.m., according to The Sun.
Stockholm Police spokesperson Per Fahlström informed the media that a man who had been in the area and behaved strangely was checked and a knife was found.
Margareta Thorgren, head of information for the Royal Court, informed The Sun that the police arrested the man, making it a police matter.
Since 2010, the royal family has resided at Haga Castle, which is situated within a public park.
In August, it was announced that Crown Princess Victoria was undergoing specialized military instruction.
The training is a part of the Crown Princess's ongoing effort to expand her knowledge in preparation for her future role as head of state.
The princess stated that she, along with the other cadets, would immerse themselves in tactics, military science, and military strategy.
No information has been disclosed about the identity of the suspect or the charges they will face.
