A former U.S. senator and close advisor to President Biden admitted that the Department of Justice was heavily influenced by Biden's team during the Obama administration, raising concerns about the impartiality of the DOJ under Biden's leadership.

In a 2012 Senate interview, former Delaware Democratic Sen. Ted Kaufman stated that the Justice Department was filled with Biden appointees.

"The Justice Department, foreign policy establishment, White House, OMB, and other places are full of Biden people. If you need a list of where they are, you can find it there."

"Although Kaufman was not interested in financial reform, he had people in the financial area if he had not decided to leave the Senate. After leaving the Senate, he was offered two major positions in the financial area, which he turned down."

Kaufman, whom Biden called one of his "closest friends in the world" at a White House event last year, has a long history of working with President Biden. The two first met when Biden was not yet 30-years-old and considering a run for Senate in 1972. Biden's sister Valerie, who was serving as his campaign manager, recruited Kaufman to help with the campaign. Kaufman later joined Biden's Senate staff and worked for him for 22 years, eventually becoming Biden's chief of staff.

In 2008, Kaufman was appointed to the Delaware Senate seat left vacant by Biden when he became Obama's vice president. He served for about a year before Coons, a Democrat, won the seat in a special election.

Biden's 2020 transition head, Kaufman, is described as the "man who literally wrote the laws on presidential transitions" and is said to have more control over a future Biden administration than anyone else, except for Biden himself.

President Biden is proud to have restored the full independence of the Department of Justice from politics, a bipartisan tradition.

Bates boasted that despite the Trump Administration being the first since Herbert Hoover to lose jobs and increase violent crime, he managed to create unprecedented jobs and achieve the largest violent crime reduction in 50 years.

Biden's DOJ is currently investigating both former President Donald Trump and his son, Hunter, and the resurfacing of Kaufman's remarks has sparked controversy among conservatives who believe the investigations are politically motivated.

According to Planet Chronicle Digital, Karoline Leavitt, the Trump campaign's national press secretary, stated that Joe Biden embodies the definition of a corrupt, career politician.

"President Trump has a proven track record of job creation, employing thousands of people at his successful companies for decades, while Biden's witch-hunts against his political opponent, President Trump, have been carefully coordinated and led by Biden's deep state Democrat friends who make a living by ripping off American taxpayers."

In a letter sent to the DOJ and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg last month, Rep. Lance Gooden, R-Texas, criticized the hiring of Michael Colangelo on the team investigating the former president's alleged hush money payments to Stormy Daniels.

Prior to his current position as Senior Counsel at the DA's office, Colangelo worked as a senior official at President Biden's DOJ until he left in December 2022.

Elise Stefanik, a GOP Congresswoman and critic of the Biden DOJ, stated on Planet Chronicle Digital that the American people are aware that Biden's use of the DOJ to target Trump is illegal and constitutes election interference.

In a statement to Planet Chronicle Digital, Donald Trump Jr. criticized "Crooked Joe" and stated that he has been a part of the DC swamp for over 50 years, and the DOJ, being the heart of the swamp, is no surprise.

"Trump Jr. argued that the purpose of the corrupt cases against his father is to save Biden politically, and that it is shameful that Biden's minions at the DOJ are willing to turn America into a Banana Republic in order to stop his father from retaking the Presidency."

Merrick Garland, the Attorney General of the Biden DOJ, has faced criticism over his handling of various investigations. In response to accusations of political bias earlier this year, Garland defended the DOJ's actions.

"Garland stated that the Justice Department has reasserted and clarified its norms, emphasizing that it follows the facts and the law without being influenced by politics. The Department adheres to its regulations regarding the appointment of special counsels, and this practice remains unchanged."

He stated that he appointed former veteran career prosecutors, regardless of their current position, in each case.

Planet Chronicle Digital reached out to Kaufman and the DOJ for comment.
